Earning Meridian Rewards Points
The Meridian Visa Infinite Cash Back credit card earns Meridian Rewards points for all purchases made on the card:
- 4 Meridian Rewards points for every dollar spent on gas and grocery purchases.
- 2 Meridian Rewards points for every dollar spent on pharmacy and utility bill payments.
- 1 Meridian Rewards point for every dollar spent on all other eligible purchases.
The earning rate on all gas, grocery, pharmacy, and utility bill purchases is elevated for the first $25,000 in purchases per calendar year. Any purchases in these categories after the spending cap is reached will earn 1 Meridian Rewards point per dollar spent.
Redeeming Meridian Rewards Points
Meridian Rewards points can be redeemed for travel, an account/statement credit, gift cards, or merchandise.
Points can be redeemed via Meridian’s travel booking portal at a rate of 100 points per $1, or 1 cent per point. There is no minimum redemption amount when redeeming your points for travel, and if your points cannot cover the entire cost of the booking, the remaining balance can be paid with a credit card.
Points can also be redeemed for a statement or account credit, at a rate of 100 points per $1, or 1 cent per point. There is a minimum redemption amount of 2,500 points when redeeming for a statement credit.
Gift cards and merchandise redemptions are available, but the value per point is lower making them a less-than-optimal redemption unless you had a specific purchase in mind. The minimum redemption amount for gift cards is 3,000 points and the minimum redemption amount for merchandise is 3,600 points.
