The BoA Alaska Airlines Visa credit card accrues Alaska Miles for all purchases made on the card:
- 3 Alaska Miles for every dollar spent on eligible Alaska Airlines purchases, such as flight bookings.

The Bank of America Alaska Airlines card offers a range of perks for cardholders who are flying with Alaska.
As a cardholder, every year on your credit card account anniversary you’ll receive a companion fare which allows you to book a companion flight starting from $121 USD ($99 fare plus taxes and fees from $22). This means that you will pay full price for your flight and the reduced cost for your companion on one itinerary.
You will receive a free checked bag on all Alaska Airlines flights while you hold the card. This perk applies to the cardholder and up to 6 guests on the same reservation.
The cardholder will also receive 20% back on all Alaska Airlines in-flight purchases and 50% off day passes at the Alaska Lounge when you pay with your BoA Alaska Airlines credit card. You will receive the rebate as a statement credit.
Insurance Coverage
The Bank of America Alaska Airlines credit card does not offer any insurance coverage for cardholders.

How often you can close and reapply for this card? The MBNA in Canada was really lenient and let you reapply in 4 months without a question.
The terms state 24 months but I haven’t tried yet. Would be curious for a datapoint for sure.
Annual fee has changed to $95 USD and accounts have to be opened in person or by calling in.
Thanks Hoinam. It looks like there is a $100 statement credit as well. Also to my knowledge your first account with BoA always had to be opened in person.
