Rewards Rates
The Simplii Cash Back Visa credit card earns cash back for all purchases made on the card:
- 4% cash back on all purchases made at restaurants, bars, and coffee shops (up to $5,000 spent per calendar year).â€
- 1.5% cash back on all purchases made at grocery stores, gas stations, drug stores, and on pre-authorized purchases (up to $15,000 spent per calendar year).â€
- 0.5% cash back on all other purchases (with no limit on spending per calendar year).â€
Redeeming Cash Back
Cash back earned on the Simplii Financial Cash Back Visa card is automatically redeemed on the last day of the cardholder’s December statement. The cash back will be applied as a credit on the next statement.
Insurance Coverage
The Simplii Financial Cash Back Visa card offers two types of insurance coverage:
- Purchase security: Coverage for accidental physical damage or theft for 90 days from the date of purchase
- Extended protection: Extend the manufacturer’s original warranty up to one additional year

the simplii visa cash back says $60 in FlyerFunds and $100 cash back but can’t get any info on the $100. Does it mean upon approval, a total of $160 will be sent out to the applicant?

As of today (December 16, 2024), Frugal Flyer is offering $60 cash back to eligible approved applicants for the Simplii Financial Cash Back Visa card. This rebate amount will be paid directly by Frugal Flyer to your PayPal email address once we receive confirmation of your approval from Simplii.
The $100 cash back is the welcome bonus on the card which is earned through their offer of “Earn up to 10% cash back†for your first 3 months on up to $1,000 in eligible spend”. This means you would need to spend $1,000 on your new card to earn the $100 cash back welcome bonus.
