Rewards Rates
The Amex Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant card accrues Marriott Bonvoy points for all purchases made on the card:
- Earn 6 Marriott Bonvoy points for every dollar spent on purchases at Marriott properties around the world.
- Earn 3 Marriott Bonvoy Points for every dollar spent on purchases on dining (including takeout and delivery) and on flights booked directly with airlines.
- Earn 2 Marriott Bonvoy points for every dollar spent on all other purchases.
Redeeming Marriott Bonvoy Points
Marriott Bonvoy points can be redeemed for hotel stays at over 9,000 properties worldwide. Alternatively, they can be transferred to over 40 frequent flyer programs at a rate of 3:1.

Benefits
American Express Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant cardholders are eligible to receive $300 in statement credits for restaurant purchases each cardholder year. These credits are distributed at $25 per month and can be used at any venue that codes as a restaurant worldwide.
Bonvoy Brilliant cardholders receive a free night award upon card anniversary. The Marriott Bonvoy free night certificate can be redeemed for one night’s stay at a property and is worth up to 85,000 Bonvoy points.
One of the biggest perks that come with the Bonvoy Brilliant credit card is that cardholders will be granted instant Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite status. This status comes with complimentary breakfast, lounge access, suite upgrades, and more.
Upon approval, and again at the start of every calendar year, cardholders will receive 25 elite nights which can put you on the fast track to Marriott Platinum status. These nights are credited to the linked Marriott Bonvoy account and count towards earning yearly Bonvoy elite status in addition to lifetime status.
When you use your Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant American Express Card to book directly through Marriott for a two-night minimum stay at a Ritz-Carlton or St. Regis property using the Member rate titled “$100 Property Credit, Luxury Credit Card Rate”, you will be eligible to receive a property credit of up to $100 per booking to be used on qualifying purchases on property. In order to access this member rate, you will need to make the booking while logged in to the Bonvoy account linked to your Brilliant card.
Cardholders will also receive a complimentary Priority Pass Select membership which grants the member, and up to two guests, complimentary access to over 1,200 airport lounges.
Finally, cardholders can also receive either a statement credit available every 4 years after you apply for Global Entry ($100) or a statement credit available every 4.5 years after you apply for a five-year membership through any Authorized Enrollment Provider for TSA Pre✓ (up to $85) with your Bonvoy Brilliant credit card. If approved for Global Entry, at no additional charge, you will receive access to TSA Pre✓.
