Rewards Rates
The Brim World Elite Mastercard accrues Brim Rewards points for all purchases made on the card:
- 2 Brim Rewards points per dollar spent on all purchases (up to $25,000 in spend per calendar year; 1X earn rate thereafter).
You can also earn Brim Rewards points through the Brim Financial eShop and Brim Mastercard inCard offers.
Redeeming Brim Rewards Points
Brim Rewards can be redeemed as a statement credit at a rate of 1 cent per point. In other words, 100 points will give you $1 in savings.
You can redeem in one of two ways. First, you can redeem your points towards any purchase you put on your card in the Brim Financial app. Simply swipe right on the purchase, and apply your points.
Alternatively, you can simply redeem Brim points against your total account balance. Log in to your online banking, and click on make a payment. Click on cash back, and you can enter how many points you want to use, up to your total account balance.
Benefits
Brim World Elite Mastercard cardholders are eligible to sign up for free Boingo WiFi at over one million hotspots worldwide. Through Boingo, you are able to access free in-flight WiFi on flights with several international airlines, including free WiFi on WestJet.
The Brim Financial World Elite Mastercard also has a lower foreign transaction fee of 1.5%, meaning you will save 1% over a traditional credit card when completing transactions in a foreign currency. While this is a nice benefit, there are better no foreign transaction fee credit cards in Canada that should be considered first.
