CIBC Aventura Visa Infinite Privilege Card

The CIBC Aventura Visa Infinite Privilege card offers benefits that include an annual $200 travel credit, two $100 NEXUS credit rebates, and six airport lounge passes.

Rewards Rates

The CIBC Aventura Visa Infinite Privilege card earns Aventura points for all eligible purchases made on the card:

  • 3 Aventura Points per dollar spent on travel purchases made through the CIBC Rewards Centre.
  • 2 Aventura Points per dollar spent on dining, entertainment, transportation, electric vehicle charging stations, gas, and grocery purchases.
  • 1.25 Aventura Points per dollar spent on all other purchases.

Redeeming Aventura Points

CIBC Aventura points are best redeemed for either flight redemptions or travel purchases via the Shopping with Points redemption option if you want to maximize their value.

If you are interested in redeeming Aventura points for flights, you can determine how many Aventura points your next flight booking will cost you by using the Aventura Points Flight Finder tool.

CIBC Shopping with Points is our preferred redemption option as Aventura cardholders can redeem their points against travel purchases made on their card at a rate of 1 cent per point.

CIBC Aventura points can also be redeemed for merchandise, gift cards, and a statement credit. CIBC infrequently runs promotions on certain gift cards which can offer strong value, but otherwise, merchandise and statement credit redemptions should be avoided due to their lower cent per point value.
