Earning Avion Points

The RBC Avion Visa Infinite Privilege card earns Avion points for all purchases made on the card:

  • 1.25 Avion points for every dollar spent on all purchases on the card.

Redeeming Avion Points

Avion points are a valuable and flexible currency that can be transferred to several frequent flyer programs to maximize their value.

Avion points can be transferred to frequent flyer programs at the following rates:

Members who are interested in redeeming their Avion points for flights can utilize the RBC Air Travel Redemption Schedule, where a fixed number of points can be used to cover an airline ticket up to a set dollar value.

Avion points can also be redeemed for gift cards, merchandise, statement credits, and more, but the value of these redemption methods is far less than using these points for travel or transferring them to a partner frequent flyer program.

RBC Avion Visa Infinite Privilege cardholders are eligible to receive a complimentary membership to the Visa Airport Companion program, which offers access to airport lounges within the Dragonpass lounge program, in addition to six complimentary airport lounge passes each membership year. These passes can be used by the cardholder and their guests to access over 1,300 airport lounges in the Dragonpass network.

Doordash DashPass Subscription

Add your RBC Avion Visa Infinite Privilege credit card to your DoorDash account to receive a 12-month complimentary DashPass subscription (a value of almost $120). Insurance Coverage

The RBC Avion Visa Infinite Privilege card offers several types of insurance coverage:

  • Emergency medical insurance: Coverage for the first 31 days of any out-of-province trips for travelers under the age of 65 or the first seven days for those aged 65 and up
  • Travel accident coverage: $500,000 of accidental death and dismemberment coverage
  • Car rental collision and loss damage coverage: Comprehensive coverage for cars up to $85,000 MSRP
  • Trip cancellation insurance: $2,500 per covered person per trip
  • Trip interruption insurance: $5,000 per covered person per trip
  • Flight delay coverage: $500 per occurrence and per covered person for reasonable and necessary expenses, up to an overall maximum of $1,000 per occurrence
  • Delayed baggage insurance: $750 per person coverage for emergency purchases when your baggage is lost or delayed, up to an overall maximum of $3,000 per occurrence
  • Lost or stolen baggage insurance: $2,500 coverage for all persons combined
  • Hotel and motel burglary insurance: $3,000 coverage for stolen items per occurrence
  • Purchase security: Coverage for accidental physical damage or theft for 120 days from the date of purchase (up to $50,000 per calendar year)
  • Extended warranty: Triples the manufacturer’s original warranty up to two additional years
  • Mobile device insurance: $1,500 coverage for theft, loss, or accidental damage to your mobile device

  1. Good old RBC fleecing their customers once again. My infinite card basically gives me nothing. After 65 no travel insurance after three days. No lounges and I have not even checked warranty coverage.
    Pay. $200 for what?
