Earning Avion Points
The RBC ION+ Visa credit card earns Avion points for all purchases made on the card:
- 3 Avion points for every dollar spent on:
- Groceries, dining out, and food delivery purchases
- Gas, rideshare, daily public transit, and electric vehicle charging purchases
- Streaming, digital gaming, eligible digital subscriptions, eligible digital downloads, and in-game purchases
- 1 Avion point for every dollar spent on all other eligible purchases
Redeeming Avion Points
Avion points that are earned on the RBC ION+ Visa credit card are a slightly different currency than points that are earned on cards that are part of the Avion Rewards Elite Tier. Thus, they have different and more restrictive redemption options.
Avion points can be transferred to the WestJet Rewards loyalty program at a 1:1 ratio (meaning 100 Avion points will equal 100 WestJet points).
Avion points can also be redeemed for travel, gift cards, merchandise, statement credits, and more.

Link your RBC ION+ Visa card with a Rexall Be Well account and get 50 Be Well points for every $1 spent on eligible products at Rexall. Redeem Be Well points faster for savings in-store on eligible purchases where 25,000 Be Well points = $10.
Doordash DashPass Subscription
Add your RBC ION+ Visa credit card to your DoorDash account to receive a 6-month complimentary DashPass subscription. Cardholders will enjoy unlimited deliveries with $0 delivery fees on orders of $15 or more when they pay with their eligible RBC credit card.

Insurance Coverage
The RBC ION+ Visa card offers several types of insurance coverage:
- Mobile device insurance: $1,000 coverage for theft, loss, or accidental damage to your mobile device
- Purchase security: Coverage for accidental physical damage or theft for 90 days from the date of purchase (up to $50,000 per calendar year)
- Extended warranty: Extend the manufacturer’s original warranty up to one additional year
