Earning BMO Rewards Points
The BMO Ascend™ Business Mastercard®* earns BMO Rewards points for all purchases made on the card:
- 2 BMO Rewards points for every dollar spent on gas, office supplies, cell phone services, and internet bill payments (up to $50,000 in spend per calendar year).
- 1 BMO Rewards point for every dollar spent on all other purchases.
Redeeming BMO Rewards Points
BMO Rewards points are best used for travel purchases that are booked through the BMO Travel Portal or redeemed towards travel purchases that are charged on an eligible BMO credit card.
When redeeming BMO Rewards points towards travel, the redemption rate is 150 BMO Rewards points = $1 CAD, which is the maximum value you can expect to receive from BMO Rewards points.
There are additional redemption options including merchandise, gift cards, a statement credit, or cash investment in a BMO investment account. However, if you want to maximize the value of your BMO Rewards points, you should only redeem them for travel.
