Earning Cash Back
The Scotiabank Momentum for Business Visa card earns cash back for all eligible purchases made on the card:
- 3% cash back on purchases at gas stations, restaurants, office supply stores, and recurring bill payments (up to a total of $50,000 per calendar year).
- 1% cash back on all other eligible everyday purchases.
Once the cash back bonus rate threshold stated above is met, all future purchases will award 1% cash back for the remainder of the calendar year.
Redeeming Cash Back
Cash back earned on the Scotiabank Momentum for Business Visa card is issued as a statement credit in November. There is no action required from the cardholder to redeem their earned cash back.
Insurance Coverage
The Scotiabank Momentum for Business Visa card offers the following insurance coverages:
- Travel emergency medical insurance: Coverage for the first eight days of any out-of-province trips for travelers under the age of 65 or the first three days for those aged 65 and up
- Rental car collision and loss damage coverage: Comprehensive coverage for cars up to $65,000 MSRP
- Purchase security: Coverage for accidental physical damage or theft for 90 days from the date of purchase
- Extended warranty protection: Extend the manufacturer’s original warranty up to one additional year
