Rewards Rates

The American Express Hilton Honors card accrues Hilton Honor points for all purchases made on the card:

  • 7 Hilton Honors points for every dollar spent on purchases at hotels and resorts within the Hilton portfolio
  • 5 Hilton Honors points for every dollar spent on groceries, restaurants, and gasoline within the United States
  • 3 Hilton Honors points for every dollar spent on all other purchases

Redeeming Hilton Honors Points

Hilton Honors points can be redeemed to stay at over 7,000 Hilton properties, including luxury brands such as the Waldorf Astoria and the Conrad. The nightly point cost varies based on the hotel or resort, capping out at around 120,000 points per night for the most luxurious properties.

Benefits

Cardholders receive complimentary Hilton Honors silver status which comes with some additional perks. The most notable one is that with Silver status, you do receive the fifth night free when making a booking completely with Hilton Honors points.

As a cardholder, if you spend $20,000 on the card within a calendar year, you will receive Hilton Honors gold status through the end of the next calendar year.
