Rewards Rates
The TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite credit card accrues Aeroplan points for all eligible purchases made on the card:
- 1.5 Aeroplan points for every dollar spent on eligible grocery, gas, Air Canada, and Air Canada Vacations purchases.
- 1 Aeroplan point for every dollar spent on all other purchases.
Redeeming Aeroplan Points
Air Canada Aeroplan points are best used towards flight redemptions, whether on Air Canada or any of their partner airlines. Aeroplan bookings follow the pricing outlined in the Aeroplan Award Chart, and the best value is often found in booking partner airlines.
Flights on Air Canada can be dynamically priced, so follow our award flight booking best practices to ensure you pay the least amount of Aeroplan points possible for your next redemption.
Aeroplan points can also be redeemed for hotels, car rentals, merchandise, and gift cards. We advise against redeeming your points for these options as the value is far below what you can receive when booking flight redemptions.

Free First Checked Bag on Air Canada Flights
TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite cardholders receive a free first checked bag on Air Canada flights. This benefit extends to up to 8 guests who are traveling on the cardholder’s itinerary and is a great way to save on Air Canada baggage fees.
Earn SQM & SQS Towards Aeroplan Elite Status
For every $10,000 in net purchases on the card, TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite cardholders will earn 1,000 status qualifying miles (SQM) and 1 status qualifying segment (SQS) towards Air Canada Aeroplan status.

$100 NEXUS Credit
TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite cardholders can also receive up to $100 in NEXUS program rebates every four years. This is given in the form of a statement credit when using the card for a NEXUS application fee or NEXUS membership renewal and will partially cover the $120 USD new application or renewal fees.
600 Starbucks Stars
Starbucks Rewards members can link their TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite card to earn 600 Starbucks Stars and redeem them for free Starbucks items.
Insurance Coverage
The TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite card offers several types of insurance coverage:
- Travel medical insurance: $2,000,000 for an insured person under 65 for the first 21 consecutive days of out-of-province travel; 4 days if over age 65
- Trip cancellation insurance: $1,500 per person, up to $5,000 for insured persons on the same trip
- Trip interruption insurance: $5,000 per person, up to $25,000 for insured persons on the same trip
- Flight and trip delay insurance: Up to $500 in coverage if your flight/trip is delayed more than 4 hours
- Delayed and lost baggage insurance: $1,000 overall coverage per insured person for essential purchases when baggage is delayed for 6 hours or more
- Common carrier travel accident insurance: Up to $500,000 of coverage for covered losses while traveling on a common carrier
- Hotel and motel burglary coverage: Up to $2,500 coverage per occurrence for eligible personal stolen items
- Rental car collision and loss damage coverage: Comprehensive coverage for cars up to $65,000 MSRP
- Purchase security: Coverage for accidental physical damage or theft for 120 days from the date of purchase
- Extended warranty protection: Extend the manufacturer’s original warranty up to one additional year
- Mobile device insurance: $1,000 coverage for theft, loss, or accidental damage to your mobile device
