Rewards Rates
The CIBC Aeroplan Visa Infinite credit card earns Aeroplan points (AP) for all eligible purchases made on the card:
- 1.5 Aeroplan points for every dollar spent on Air Canada purchases and Air Canada Vacations packages.
- 1 Aeroplan point for every dollar spent on all other purchases.
Redeeming Aeroplan Points
Aeroplan points can be redeemed for flights, hotels, car rentals, merchandise, and gift cards.
Flight awards are the best use for your Aeroplan points as you can redeem them for flights on Air Canada and any of the Star Alliance partnership airlines.

Benefits
Upon spending $1,000 in the first 3 months, CIBC Aeroplan Business cardholders will receive an Air Canada buddy pass. This buddy pass can be used when booking an Air Canada flight economy cash-fare ticket for yourself and your companion. When making this booking, apply the buddy pass to only pay the taxes/fees on the companion ticket. The Air Canada buddy pass covers the cost of the base fare.
CIBC Aeroplan Visa Infinite cardholders receive a free first checked bag on Air Canada flights. This benefit extends to up to 8 guests that are traveling on the cardholder’s itinerary and is a great way to save on Air Canada baggage fees.
For every $10,000 in net purchases on the card, the cardholder will earn 1,000 status qualifying miles and 1 status qualifying segment towards Air Canada Aeroplan elite status on their Aeroplan account.
