Rewards Rates
The American Express Business Gold card earns Membership Rewards (MR) points for all purchases made on the card:
- 4 Membership Rewards points for every dollar spent on purchases in the top two categories per billing period. Categories include:
- Airfare purchased directly from airlines
- Online, TV, and radio advertising purchases
- Computer hardware, software, and cloud systems purchased from select technology providers
- Gas stations
- Restaurants (including takeout and delivery)
- Shipping
- 1 Membership Rewards point for every dollar spent on all other purchases.
The card will earn 4 Membership Rewards points per dollar spent in the top two categories per billing period, up to $150,000 per calendar year.

- Transferrable at 1:0.8 ratio: JetBlue
- Transferrable at 1:1.6 ratio: AeroMexico
- Transferrable at 1:2 ratio: Hilton Honors
