WestJet RBC Mastercard

The WestJet RBC Mastercard gives cardholders an annual WestJet companion voucher, which can be used for travel in Canada and the United States.

Rewards Rates

The WestJet RBC Mastercard earns WestJet dollars for all purchases made on the card:

• 1.5% back in WestJet dollars for all purchases of WestJet flights or WestJet vacation packages.
• 1% back in WestJet dollars for all other purchases.

Redeeming WestJet Dollars

The WestJet Rewards program offers members the ability to redeem WestJet dollars towards WestJet flights and WestJet Vacations packages. One WestJet dollar is equal to one Canadian dollar when redeemed for flights or vacation packages in the WestJet network.

To redeem WestJet dollars, sign in to your WestJet account when booking a flight, and you will have the option to redeem as much of your eligible WestJet dollar balance as possible, either up to the maximum base fare price or the maximum amount of WestJet dollars you currently have.

WestJet dollars can only be applied against the base fare cost, not towards any of the additional taxes and fees that make up the remainder of the ticket cost. They cannot be applied toward incidental fees such as checked baggage or seat selection fees.

WestJet RBC Mastercard cardholders are eligible to receive an annual companion voucher usable on WestJet flights.

The WestJet companion voucher will be deposited into your WestJet Rewards account shortly after credit card approval and every cardholder anniversary thereafter. Redeeming a WestJet companion voucher makes it possible to book a companion fare at a reduced rate when you pay full price for your own flight on the same itinerary.

The companion voucher can be redeemed for the following destinations with the respective fees depending on your WestJet fare class:

• Travel within Canada or the continental USA – $199 in fees for Basic/Econo/EconoFlex or $299 for Premium/PremiumFlex fares (plus taxes, fees, charges, and other ATC)

Earn More Be Well Points at Rexall

Link your WestJet RBC Mastercard with a Rexall Be Well account and get 50 Be Well points for every $1 spent on eligible products at Rexall. Redeem Be Well points faster for savings in-store on eligible purchases where 25,000 Be Well points = $10.

Doordash DashPass Subscription

Add your WestJet RBC Mastercard to your DoorDash account to receive a 3 month complimentary DashPass subscription. Cardholders will enjoy unlimited deliveries with $0 delivery fees on orders of $15 or more when they pay with their eligible RBC credit card.

Insurance Coverage

The WestJet RBC Mastercard offers several types of insurance coverage:

• Travel accident coverage: $500,000 of accidental death and dismemberment coverage
• Rental car collision and loss damage coverage: Comprehensive coverage for cars up to $65,000 MSRP
• Delayed baggage insurance: $500 per person coverage for emergency purchases when your baggage is lost or delayed, up to an overall maximum of $2,500 per occurrence
• Hotel and motel burglary insurance: $2,500 coverage for stolen items per occurrence
• Purchase security: Coverage for accidental physical damage or theft for 90 days from the date of purchase (up to $50,000 per calendar year)
• Extended warranty: Extend the manufacturer’s original warranty up to one additional year
