Earning Cash Back
The Scotiabank Momentum Visa Card earns cash back for all eligible purchases made on the card:
- 2% cash back on grocery store purchases, food delivery and food subscription services, and drugstore purchases (up to $25,000 in purchases per cardholder year).
- 2% cash back on eligible gas purchases, electric vehicle charging purchases, daily transit purchases, recurring bill payments, and recurring subscription purchases (up to $25,000 in purchases per cardholder year).
- 0.5% cash back on all other eligible everyday purchases.
Once the cash back bonus rate thresholds stated above are met, all future purchases will award 1% cash back for the remainder of the cardholder year.
Redeeming Cash Back
Cash back earned on the Scotiabank Momentum Visa Card can be redeemed at any time, provided the cardholder is redeeming a minimum of $25 in cash back.
