Earning Scene+ Points
The Scotiabank Passport Visa Infinite Business card earns Scene+ points for all eligible purchases made on the card:
- 1.5 Scene+ points for every dollar spent on all eligible purchases.
Redeeming Scene+ Points
Scene+ points can be redeemed for maximum value when applied against any travel purchase made on your card at the rate of 1 cent per point. Eligible travel purchases cover a wide range of categories, including hotel accommodations, flight bookings, and rental cars.
Scene+ points can also be redeemed for shopping and dining purchases at participating retailers (including grocery and liquor purchases), entertainment purchases, movie tickets, a statement credit, and more. Some of these options present decent value, but you should never redeem Scene+ points for any value less than 1 cent per point.
Benefits
No Foreign Transaction Fees
The Scotiabank Passport Visa Infinite Business card charges no foreign transaction fees when online shopping or traveling, saving you 2.5% on every transaction. Cardholders will only have to pay the exchange rate when completing foreign currency transactions.
This makes the Scotiabank Passport Visa Infinite Business card a great card to use when you are abroad since saving on the 2.5% foreign exchange fees can add up quickly. This is one of the few small business credit cards in Canada that offers no foreign transaction fee as a benefit.
6 Airport Lounge Passes
Scotiabank Passport Visa Infinite Business cardholders are eligible to receive complimentary membership to the Dragonpass lounge program, in addition to six complimentary airport lounge passes.
Avis Preferred Plus Membership
Through holding the Scotiabank Passport Visa Infinite Business card, the cardholder is eligible to receive complimentary Avis rental cars preferred plus membership. This provides the cardholder with a 5%-25% discount on rentals in Canada and the United States when booking through the Avis Preferred program, in addition to complimentary vehicle upgrades (whenever possible).

Insurance Coverage
The Scotiabank Passport Visa Infinite Business credit card offers the following insurance coverages:
- Travel emergency medical insurance: $1,000,000 per person per trip (up to 25 days for cardholders aged 64 and under; up to 10 days for cardholders aged 65 and over)
- Trip cancellation insurance: $2,500 per person, up to $10,000 per trip
- Trip interruption insurance: $2,500 per person, up to $10,000 per trip
- Travel accident insurance: $500,000 of accidental death and dismemberment coverage
- Rental car collision and loss damage insurance: Comprehensive coverage for cars up to $65,000 MSRP
- Delayed and lost luggage insurance: $1,000 total coverage per trip
- Flight delay insurance: $500 coverage per person for reasonable purchases when delayed or missed connection for 4 hours or more
- Hotel burglary insurance: $1,000 total coverage for stolen items
- Purchase security: Coverage for accidental physical damage or theft for 90 days from the date of purchase
- Extended warranty protection: Extend the manufacturer’s original warranty up to one additional year
