Benefits
As a premium credit card, the Scotiabank Passport Visa Infinite Privilege card doesn’t lack valuable benefits for cardholders.
$250 Travel Credit for Scene+ Travel
Upon approval, and at every cardholder anniversary, cardholders will receive a $250 travel credit that can be used towards bookings via the Scene+ Travel portal. This credit can be applied towards bookings that include travel purchases such as flights, hotels, car rentals, packages, or things to do.

Cardholders must make a single travel booking of $250 CAD or more for the travel credit to automatically be applied to the credit card account within the next statement period.
Ten Airport Lounge Passes
Scotiabank Passport Visa Infinite Privilege cardholders receive ten airport lounge passes per membership year. These passes can be used by the cardholder and their guests to access any one of the over 1,300 airport lounges in the Dragonpass lounge network.

If airport lounges have yet to become part of your travel standard, you’ve been missing out. While airport lounges can vary in quality, the opportunity to enjoy free food and drink and a more comfortable environment than waiting in the terminal is a game-changer when it comes to making the entire process of air travel more enjoyable.
No Foreign Transaction Fees
Becoming part of the best credit cards with no foreign transaction fees in Canada, the Scotiabank Passport Visa Infinite Privilege card offers no foreign transaction fees on any purchases made in foreign currencies, which saves cardholders 2.5% on those transactions.
This benefit, paired with the fact that the card runs on the Visa network, which has great acceptance worldwide, makes the Scotiabank Passport Visa Infinite Privilege card an excellent travel companion for all your travel needs.
Additional Benefits
While the most notable benefits are the travel credit, airport lounge passes, and no foreign transaction fees, the Scotiabank Passport Visa Infinite Privilege card also offers a few additional benefits.
Scotiabank Passport Visa Infinite Privilege cardholders are eligible to receive complimentary Avis Presidents Club Membership in the Avis Preferred loyalty program. This benefit includes two car-class upgrades and the option to skip the line and go straight to your car at most Avis locations.

Scotiabank Passport Visa Infinite Privilege cardholders will receive a plethora of benefits within the Sandman RSVP Rewards program, including automatic Diamond status, 1,000 bonus points per stay, late checkout and early check-in, a breakfast box or on-site dining credit, lounge access, and much more.
Cardholders will receive premium benefits at over 200 Relais & Châteaux properties worldwide, including a complimentary room upgrade upon arrival (based on availability), a complimentary daily breakfast for you and everyone you’re traveling with, and a VIP welcome, such as complimentary champagne upon arrival.
Finally, cardholders will receive benefits at airports across Canada, including priority security lanes, discounted parking, and dedicated parking spots. Click here to learn more, as benefits will vary from airport to airport.

Redeeming Scene+ Points
Scene+ points can be redeemed for maximum value when applied against any travel purchase made on your card at the rate of 1 cent per point. Eligible travel purchases cover a wide range of categories, including hotel accommodations, flight bookings, and rental cars.
Scene+ points can also be redeemed for shopping and dining purchases at participating retailers (including grocery and liquor purchases), entertainment purchases, movie tickets, a statement credit, and more. Some of these options present decent value, but you try not to redeem Scene+ points for a value less than 1 cent per point, or else you are wasting their potential.

The Scotiabank Platinum American Express card offers many similar benefits, including ten airport lounge passes and no foreign transaction fees. It does also provide access to American Express Offers, which can add value if there are offers for retailers you already make purchases from.
However, it does have a lower annual fee of $399, making it a good option for cardholders who want a premium card but maybe don’t want to commit to one with a $500+ annual fee.
Conclusion
We only tend to see a couple of notable credit cards introduced every year, so it’s exciting that Scotiabank has added a new card to the premium credit card options that are available to Canadians. If you are interested in a premium credit card that earns Scene+ points, consider adding this card to your wallet.
