The Frugal Flyer team is excited to host another Miles & Pints networking event! This will be our second one of 2025, and the first to be held in Vancouver, British Columbia. Read on for the details and learn how you can secure your tickets to this limited-capacity event.
Note that we are hosting another meetup in July as well: Frugal Flyer Miles & Pints in Edmonton. So be sure to attend whichever one you can!
Vancouver Miles & Pints Meetup
Join Reed, Josh, Kirin, Daniel, Jeff, Andy, and Frugal Flyer readers from Vancouver and beyond on Saturday, July 19, 2025, from 7:00 PM onwards, at Earls Test Kitchen.
This will be a relatively casual evening for networking and discussion about all things miles, points, and credit card rewards. There will not be a formal presentation, but instead, a networking session where you can connect and learn from the Frugal Flyer team and other miles and points enthusiasts.
| What | Frugal Flyer’s Miles & Pints Vancouver Meetup |
| When | July 19, 2025 – 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM |
| Where | Earls Test Kitchen 905 Hornby Street Vancouver, BC V6Z 1V3 |
We welcome miles & points enthusiasts of all knowledge levels to join us, and hope to see you there! Tickets are required, so secure your spot here.
Attendees are responsible for their own food and drink, but the Frugal Flyer team will provide a range of appetizers to be purchased with ticket proceeds. Bring your favorite credit card that earns a good multiplier on dining purchases!
The Venue – Earls Test Kitchen
Earls Test Kitchen is a modern, upscale-casual restaurant concept from the Earls restaurant group, designed as a space to experiment with new dishes, cocktails, and dining experiences. Located in Vancouver, it serves as a culinary innovation hub where chefs test seasonal menus and gather feedback before launching items across other locations.

Earls Test Kitchen is located at 905 Hornby Street in downtown Vancouver, British Columbia. The restaurant is easily accessible via public transit, being just a short walk from both Vancouver City Centre and Burrard SkyTrain stations.
The area is vibrant and central. If you are looking for a night out after the event to continue the conversations, it won’t be hard to find another venue closeby to keep the night going.
Who Should Attend & Why?
If you are interested in miles and points, whether you just started or have been involved for years, attending meetups is one of the best ways to build your network, knowledge, and friendships. Connecting in person is the best way to accelerate your learning, as what is shared online is often only the surface of how deep this hobby goes.
In fact, Frugal Flyer was started from friendships that formed from a local meetup that happened in 2019, and Reed and I maintain close contact with many friends that we have built from miles and points meetups over the years. Without these relationships and the knowledge we have gained and shared, we definitely wouldn’t be able to earn as many points as we have and travel as much as we do.
Simply put, in-person events are the best way to learn more and to have engaging discussions about this hobby we all love. No matter your experience level, we hope to see you at our meetup!
Secure Your Tickets Now
Tickets will start at $20 per person, with three tiers to reward those who sign up early:
- 10 tickets for sale at $20
- 10 tickets for sale at $25
- 8 tickets for sale at $30
This cost is primarily to ensure we have accurate numbers for attendance. The money collected will be used to purchase appetizers for everyone to share, as we believe events like these should be accessible to all to build the miles and points community.
The event sign-up is managed through Eventbrite. If you’re interested in attending, please purchase your tickets at the following link:
We have a limit of 28 attendees. Thus, we recommend buying your tickets as soon as possible to guarantee your spot, and also to save with the ‘early-bird’ pricing. We are expecting to hit the maximum attendance capacity.
If anyone has any questions, feel free to leave a comment below. Otherwise, we’ll see you at Earls on July 19th!

Hi. I’ve been in this hobby since 2012 in the US.(We’re originally from Van) We’re visiting and stumbled across this post looking for some local points/miles activity. We’ve had MANY cards and redeemed millions of points on all the fun hotel/flight options. Suites, over the water bungalows, first class showers in the sky, etc. It would be great fun to meet up with some fellow like-minded travelers. We live out of our backpacks and are travelling full time for 8 years. All flights over 6 hours have been in business on points. We blog about it at DancingPandas. Unfortunately, I know squat about the Canadian cc system. But happy to answer any US/Int based P/Miles questions. So, if two more spots open up,,, love to be on that wait list.
Hey Rob,
I’ve added you to the waitlist. It would be great to have you there with all your experience. I’ll be in touch if we have additional spots.
Could you do a wait list of some sorts? In case if someone already booked, but is now unavailable to go they can cancel and someone else willing to go can book their spot
Hey Sam,
I can add you to a waitlist and let you know if a spot opens up via email.
Cheers,
Reed
Booked 🙂
We are excited to see you there!
