Frugal Flyer’s Black Friday Week of Elevated Credit Card Rebates
We work closely with many financial institutions in Canada to bring you great offers on credit cards, and for Black Friday we’ve partnered with three financial institutions to bring you elevated rebates for a limited time putting more cash back in your wallet for the holidays and shopping season ahead!
Frugal Flyer’s Black Friday Week promotion will commence on November 25th at 12:01 am EST and will run until November 29th at 11:59 pm EST so ensure you get your rebate application and credit card application in before then.
In order to be eligible, readers must generate a rebate application and apply for the desired credit card product during the dates outlined for our Black Friday Week event above, else rebate amounts will revert to the normal amount after the event. Refer to the terms and conditions for eligibility for each credit card rebate offer.
This means that if you generate a rebate with the elevated rebate amount, but don’t apply for the credit card until after the event has concluded, you will not receive the elevated rebate amount if approved but instead will receive the normal rebate amount.

The Tangerine World Mastercard now has an elevated FlyerFunds Rebate of $200, up from the normal rebate amount of $150.
The Tangerine World Mastercard earns cash back and allows cardholders to choose three accelerated spending categories to increase their cash back earnings.

The Tangerine World Mastercard has no annual fee and gives you the ability to select up to three categories in which you earn 2% cash back when you get your rewards deposited into your Tangerine Savings Account. All other purchases earn 0.5% back.
Cash back that is earned on the Tangerine World Mastercard is paid monthly and can be issued as either a statement credit on the credit card account or deposited to a Tangerine Savings account.

BMO CashBack World Elite Mastercard
The BMO CashBack World Elite Mastercard now has an elevated FlyerFunds Rebate of $150, up from the normal rebate amount of $75.
The BMO CashBack World Elite Mastercard earns cash back and offers cardholders the opportunity to earn up to 5% cash back on all grocery purchases. As a result, for 2024 we selected this card for the award for Best Cashback Credit Card for Grocery Purchases.

The BMO CashBack World Elite Mastercard has an annual fee of $120 and earns 5% cash back on all grocery purchases for up to $500 in spend per statement period.
BMO CashBack World Elite Mastercard users will also receive 4% cash back on transit purchases (up to $300 per statement period), 3% cash back on gasoline purchases (up to $300 per statement period), 2% cash back on recurring bill payments (up to $500 per statement period), and 1% on all other purchases. If a statement period spending cap is reached, all future purchases in that category will earn 1% cash back for the remainder of that period.
Cash back that is earned on the BMO CashBack World Elite Mastercard can be redeemed at any time as long as the cash back earned balance is over $1. The cash back can be applied as a statement credit on the credit card account, deposited into a BMO chequing or savings account, or deposited into a BMO InvestorLine account.

Simplii Financial Cash Back Visa Card
The Simplii Financial Cash Back Visa card now has an elevated FlyerFunds Rebate of $100, up from the normal rebate amount of $60.
The Simplii Financial Cash Back Visa card earns cash back and gives cardholders the opportunity to earn up to 4% cash back on purchases at restaurants, bars, and coffee shops.

The Simplii Financial Cash Back Visa card has no annual fee and earns 4% cash back on all purchases made at restaurants, bars, and coffee shops for up to $5,000 in spend per calendar year.

- Earn 45,000 BMO Rewards points upon spending $4,500 in the first 3 months

The BMO Ascend World Elite Mastercard has an annual fee of $150 and earns 5 BMO Rewards points per dollar spent on all travel purchases for up to $15,000 in spend per calendar year.
Cardholders will also earn 3 BMO Rewards points per dollar spent on all dining, entertainment, and recurring bill payment purchases for up to $10,000 in spend per category per calendar year. All other purchases, including those made in the categories above once the respective spending cap is reached, will earn 1 BMO Reward point per dollar spent.
The BMO Ascend World Elite Mastercard also offers four complimentary airport lounge passes per year, for usage at airport lounges that participate in the DragonPass Lounge Program. Passes can be used by both the cardholder and their guests.
BMO Rewards points can be redeemed towards travel, contributed towards an eligible BMO investment account, as a statement credit, or for gift cards or merchandise.
