This is consistent with the highest welcome offer we have seen on this card, making this a great time to add one of the best travel credit cards in Canada to your wallet.
Avion points can be redeemed for travel via RBC’s Air Travel Redemption Schedule, or transferred to other miles and points programs including British Airways Avios, Cathay Asia Miles, WestJet Rewards, and American Airlines AAdvantage.
If you redeem points through the RBC Air Travel Redemption Schedule, 55,000 Avion points (which equates to $1,100) are enough for a round-trip flight to anywhere in North America, Mexico, Bermuda, Central America, or the Caribbean†. Taxes and fees are extra.

The RBC Avion Visa Platinum card is quite similar to the Avion Visa Infinite card, with a slightly lower earning rate and fewer benefits. However, it does not have an income requirement, making it a great option for those cardholders who do not have an annual personal income of at least $60,000 or an annual household income of at least $100,000, which is what is required for the RBC Avion Visa Infinite card.

Hi Josh,
Yes those ‘return’ offer from RBC are great !
But one big question.
Like many people, I have 2 rbc infinite cards: one from RBC and the other from HSBC transition.
If I cancel one of the 2 cards and wait the 3 month period and reapply for an RBC Infinite, will RBC refuse on the pretext that I already have an rbc infinite?
The only difference between the 2 cards is that the HSBC transition card has no exchange fees?
What do you suggest I do?
Can you hold more than one of the same card? I have an Avion Visa Infinite with a shared user (additional card fee) and I am interested in 1. removing my partner as the additional card holder 2. having the ex-additional-card-holder apply for their own AVI. 3. If I can product switch my AVI to something else, can I then apply for a new AVI of my own?
Would any #2 or #3 result in the 55,000 bonus for either my partner or myself?
Thanks!
Hi. I’m wondering if you’ve had experience or known someone to get the SUB on these cards more than once in a short period (as long as you follow the 90 day application rule)? I got the plat and infinite in spring last year, but canceled them in October and I’m hoping to signup for them again soon.
