Hilton Honors is quickly becoming my favorite hotel loyalty program, as they are making all the right moves that align with what I value in a loyalty program. Between the partnership between Hilton Honors and Small Luxury Hotels of the World, their incredibly valuable and uncapped free night certificates, and the fact that it is easy to earn points and status, Hilton Honors is a massive winner in my book.
The Hilton and AutoCamp partnership is new, niche, and a positive addition to the program. Let’s take a look at everything you need to know if you want to use your miles and points for a vacation in the great outdoors.
What is the Hilton & AutoCamp Partnership?
Earlier in 2024, Hilton announced that they had partnered with AutoCamp to bring eight new properties into the fold where guests can stay in luxury Airstreams and tents in National Parks across the United States. If you are interested in exploring the outdoors or renowned National Parks in style and comfort, AutoCamp presents a great opportunity for a future vacation.
Each AutoCamp property offers a variety of on-property amenities including communal fire points, trails, and swimming pools (at select locations). Since these properties are now part of the Hilton Honors program, they can also be booked as a Hilton Honors point or free night certificate redemption as well.

AutoCamp Locations
There are currently eight AutoCamp locations that are available to Hilton Honors members, but all of them are not yet bookable on points.
AutoCamp Zion
AutoCamp Zion is located in Utah and is the place to be if you want to see Zion’s red rocks or spend time near the Virgin River.
Hilton Honors members can book AutoCamp Russian River at a rate of 75,000 Hilton Honors points per night based on standard award availability. However, during my searches, I did notice some redemption rates as low as 58,000 points per night. Cash rates hover around $270 USD per night.

AutoCamp Russian River
AutoCamp Russian River is located nearby to Sonoma in Northern California and gives guests the opportunity to explore the Armstrong Redwoods Preserve.
Hilton Honors members can book AutoCamp Russian River at a rate of 70,000 Hilton Honors points per night based on standard award availability. However, during my searches, I did notice some redemption rates as low as 60,000 points per night. Cash rates hover around $280 USD per night.

AutoCamp Joshua Tree
AutoCamp Joshua Tree, located in southern California’s desert landscape, offers moonlit hikes in the iconic Joshua Tree National Park.
Hilton Honors members can book AutoCamp Joshua Tree at a rate of 70,000 Hilton Honors points per night based on standard award availability. However, during my searches, I did notice some redemption rates as low as 51,000 points per night. Cash rates hover around $220 USD per night.

AutoCamp Catskills
AutoCamp Catskills, located in Upstate New York, is near waterfall hikes in the summer and excellent skiing in the winter.

AutoCamp Cape Cod
AutoCamp Cape Cod is located on a scenic peninsula extending into the Atlantic Ocean in Massachusetts. If exploring Martha’s Vineyard, visiting numerous lighthouses, and eating lobster rolls is your vibe, it is worth considering AutoCamp Cape Cod as your next vacation.
Hilton Honors members can book AutoCamp Cape Cod at a rate of 70,000 Hilton Honors points per night based on standard award availability. Cash rates hover around $390 USD per night.

AutoCamp Yosemite
Guests of AutoCamp Yosemite in California can enjoy guided Yosemite National Park tours, visit Mariposa’s historic town center, and access a communal outdoor pool.
As of the time of writing, all dates reflect as sold out when trying to book AutoCamp Yosemite. It may not yet be bookable for points, but it is still worth searching for as things may change. Cash rates hover around $300 USD per night.

AutoCamp Sequoia
AutoCamp Sequoia is located between Kings Canyon National Park and Sequoia National Park in California. This location opens in the Fall of 2024 and is not yet bookable on points or cash. When it is available on points, I would expect it to align with other properties on the list.

AutoCamp Asheville
AutoCamp Asheville, located in North Carolina, offers a nature getaway with the Blue Ridge Mountains, floating down the French Broad River, or even indulging in a local brewery tour or two.
Hilton Honors members can book AutoCamp Asheville at a rate of 70,000 Hilton Honors points per night based on standard award availability. Cash rates hover around $350 USD per night.

Redeeming Hilton Honors Points for AutoCamp Stays
If you are interested in exploring the options that are available for an AutoCamp redemption stay through Hilton Honors, visit here and select “Use Points”. You can then select your desired property and flip through the award calendar to confirm pricing and availability for your chosen dates. Standard award rates may fluctuate a bit, and if you are seeing higher prices it will be listed as a “Premium Award Rate”.
If you are interested in earning Hilton Honors points through credit cards, you will need access to US credit cards as a Canadian. You can check out our Hilton credit card strategy for more details, but essentially signing up for any of the Hilton co-branded credit cards, including the American Express Hilton Honors card (US) and the American Express Hilton Honors Surpass card (US) are great ways to start building your balance.
The American Express Hilton Honors Surpass card offers benefits including instant Hilton Honors Gold elite status and a quarterly $50 Hilton credit.

The redemption value seems alright for all of the properties, especially when you consider that Hilton Honors points can typically be valued at around 0.5 cents per point (USD). I would advise against using a free night certificate at one of these properties as greater value can be extracted elsewhere unless you have free night certificates that are expiring or have a strong desire to explore the great outdoors on your next vacation.
Hilton Honors Status Benefits with AutoCamp
As a result of the partnership with Hilton Honors, members who hold Hilton elite status and stay with AutoCamp can expect to receive specific benefits that are aligned with their Hilton status level:
- Hilton Honors Silver members receive two eco-friendly waters.
- Hilton Honors Gold members receive one bundle of firewood per stay, two eco-friendly waters, and a space available upgrade.

- Hilton Honors Diamond members receive one s’mores kit and one bundle of firewood per stay, two eco-friendly waters, and a space available upgrade.

While none of these really stand out as valuable benefits, the space available upgrade could be worth it but will of course be property specific and luck of the draw. At worst, you get a free s’mores kit as a Diamond member which is worth something!
That being said, considering how easy Hilton Honors Diamond status is to earn thanks to the American Express Hilton Honors Aspire credit card (US), there is no reason not to hold the highest status when staying at any Hilton Honors property. Even outside of the AutoCamp partnership, it’s one card that I consider integral to my miles and points strategy and I always recommend it to anyone who is pursuing aspirational Hilton redemptions.

Conclusion
While I’m not much of a camper, I always love seeing hotel loyalty programs branch out in their offerings to satisfy a broader consumer base. While I’m far more excited about the Small Luxury Hotels of the World partnership, the Hilton x AutoCamp partnership presents some unique redemption opportunities for those who want to enjoy a vacation in nature in style and comfort.
